IELTS is an increasingly popular examination, taken by people who want to work or study in an English-speaking country. If you would like to study at a university in the UK, the USA, or Australia, or gain an internationally recognised qualification, then IELTS Preparation is the course for you.
The test can be taken every month in various centres across the UK. All applications are now submitted online, we are of course very happy to assist you with this process.
Here at Beet you’re able to follow the main programme of 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, but if you would like to study more and improve your chances of success in the exam, you can also study 24 lessons (18 hours) or 28 lessons (21 hours) per week on our Options Programme. Please note there is a minimum level requirement of B1 to enrol on this course.
Success at Beet is due to four main qualities

Please note: Cambridge examination fees are not included in the course price; students are able to pay this at the centre during their course.
The 2025 examination fees are: B2 First (FCE) £220, C1 Advanced (CAE) £223 and C2 Proficiency (CPE) £226.

About us
Beet was established by its founder, Clive Barrow, in 1979 with just 3 students! Since that time it’s grown in size but firmly remains an independent, family-run school. We aim to help each and every one of our students to achieve their English language goals in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our students’ happiness is our priority, they come first!
We operate an open-door policy at all times which means our students are always able to come to us whenever they feel the need. They don’t need an appointment to talk to us; we are always on-hand to help!
