Volunteer and Social Outreach Programme

We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities across a variety of local organisations, giving you the chance to develop new skills, meet new people, improve your English and make a positive impact in the local community.

Opportunities are available in areas such as heritage, care, conservation, retail, education, and animal welfare, at places including:

1. Bournemouth Council – Parks Foundation

2. Local Care Homes

3. Primary Schools

4. The British Heart Foundation

5. Grounded Community Charity

6. Lewis Mannings Charity Shop

7. Bournemouth, Charminster and Winton Libraries

8. Highcliffe Castle

Activities include: Cultural workshops (crafts, games, celebrations), language activities through stories and conversation, interactive presentations about different countries and classroom support to build confidence and communication. Each session is fun, engaging, and age-appropriate, helping children develop a sense of global awareness.

At Beet, we connect our students with the local community through our Social Outreach Programme. Students take part in activities in schools, charities, and care homes, sharing their languages, traditions, and perspectives.

For younger learners, these experiences spark curiosity, build empathy, and open the door to a wider world.

Please Note: Language levels required vary accordingly, but generally speaking they range from A1 to B2, with some positions such as Highcliffe castle requiring B1+.

To apply, speak to the reception team at Beet, and we will set you up with your own folder to track your volunteering experience. At the end of your time with us, you will be presented with an offical volunteering Beet certificate.
