This has been designed for students who would like to study an Intensive or Extra Intensive Course. Please note: All options are subject to availability so please check with us first if there’s an option you particularly want to study.
Choose 1 Option – If you’ve selected an Intensive Course of 24 lessons per week (18 hours)
Choose 2 Options – If you’ve selected an Extra Intensive Course of 28 lessons per week (21 hours)
Success at Beet is due to four main qualities
How big are the class sizes?
September -> June: Maximum of 13 students
July -> August: Maximum of 14 students
Speaking, Pronunciation & Listening
Listen to clear pronunciation models from teachers and recorded dialogues. You get lots of opportunity to practise, talk in small groups groups and in pairs.
Reading, Writing & Vocabulary
Explore a variety of themes and cultural topics such as science, technology, sport, and shopping. Get the vocabulary you need to understand interesting texts. Improve your writing, using some of the words you have studies.
Cambridge English FCE, CAE & CPE
Intensive sessions with highly experienced teachers on each section of the exam. You get to study with a focused group of students all aiming to succeed at the same exam. Learn the reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills you need to achieve the highest grade possible.
IELTS Preparation
Join this afternoon option class in any week of the year. Get plenty of intensive practice under exam conditions so that you know exactly what to expect and how to deal with each IELTS exam paper. Study the necessary techniques with teachers and students who are all working towards the same goal.
CV Writing & Interview Skills
Learn how to structure and present a successful curriculum vitae. What type of work are you looking for? How can you maximize your chances of getting an interview? What should the CV include? Work with your teacher to build and polish your own CV.
Study the different interview styles and their objectives. Discover the stages of an interview and useful steps needed to achieve a successful outcome. Understand the Dos and Don’ts that will help you to win that job!
English for Business
Designed for closed groups only. This is an intensive programme using modern business English materials. Learn how to make business calls, take part in meetings and make presentations. Topics covered range from customer service and management styles to international marketing and teambuilding.

Beet was established by its founder, Clive Barrow, in 1979 with just 3 students! Since that time it’s grown in size but firmly remains an independent, family-run school. We aim to help each and every one of our students to achieve their English language goals in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our students’ happiness is our priority, they come first!
We operate an open-door policy at all times which means our students are always able to come to us whenever they feel the need. They don’t need an appointment to talk to us; we are always on-hand to help!

Situated in a residential area within easy access of Bournemouth centre and our miles of award-winning beaches, Bournemouth is a bustling town with plenty to do and see and easy access to the countryside and London.
We have a programme of fun evening events and lectures and weekend excursions run by our teachers. This is why so many of our students call Beet their second home!
