We’re delighted to launch our 50+ programme this coming August. Although we frequently welcome older students to BEET, we also know that sometimes students prefer to be in classes with people of a similar age. Fortunately both options are still possible – it’s up to students to decide! All 50+ participants will have activities organised 3 afternoons a week, as well as a Saturday excursion and a night out included in the package! We are very much looking forward to welcoming our first group to BEET!
Our 50+ courses are designed to:
- Improve your English in a relaxed atmosphere
- Offer an interesting programme of visits and experiences
- Meet and make new friends from around the world
Lessons are informal and taught at a pace that feels comfortable for those who may not have been in a classroom for some years.
- Levels are elementary to upper intermediate
- Maximum class size is 10 students
- Minimum age is 50, with no upper age limit
If you are at a different level, you can join regular lessons at the main school. Lessons will be with students of all ages from 17 upwards.
After lessons, you will join the 50+ participants for the rest of the day.
Free Extra Lessons
If you want to have some free extra lessons, you can join a teaching practice class in the afternoon. These classes are taught by our trainee teachers, who are studying for a Cambridge University qualification. You will need to register your name each day in Reception for these classes, but you have priority over other students. Available only when training courses are operating. Max class size: 15
Many of our students at the main school are over fifty, saying they prefer to be with younger people. If you wish to do this, at any time of the year (except Christmas and New Year holiday), please see our published courses. So far, our oldest student was 84 years old!
